Cover Art Courtesy of The Valory Music Co.

NASHVILLE, TN (May 17, 2019) – Just two weeks away from the release of CENTER POINT ROAD (The Valory Music Co.) on May 31, ACM Awards Male Artist of the Year and MULTI-PLATINUM selling performer THOMAS RHETT is sharing a second collaboration from his upcoming project today, “Beer Can’t Fix” featuring Jon Pardi. Written by Thomas Rhett, Julian Bunetta, Zach Skelton and Ryan Tedder, the new tune is a swaying two stepper layering Thomas Rhett and Jon Pardi’s laidback cool as a remedy for whatever ails you. Fans who have pre-ordered the album at digital retailers here, instantly received the track today along with four previously released tracks, and pre-order limited edition album packages are available at ThomasRhett.com.

“I was playing golf with one of my producers, Julian Bunetta, in Knoxville and we were both playing terribly, so we decided to drink a beer and suddenly we both started playing much better,” Thomas Rhett shared. “Julian looked at me and said ‘well, ain’t nothing a beer can’t fix’ and we both were like, ‘We have to write that.’ As soon as it was done I knew I wanted Jon on it. It’s basically about not taking life too seriously, and I just knew Jon’s voice would be the perfect addition to the song.”

Earlier this week, Thomas Rhett “at the top of his musical game” (Winnipeg Free Press), wrapped the Canadian leg of his LIFE CHANGES TOUR with critics praising he “commands the stage with confidence, aplomb, all the right moves and the best banter” (Calgary Herald). Tonight (5/17), he transitions into his headlining VERY HOT SUMMER TOUR in Spokane, WA with special guest Dustin Lynch. The VERY HOT SUMMER TOUR will hit over 40 cities through October.

Additionally, next month, Thomas Rhett revealed he will bring CENTER POINT ROAD to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN on Saturday, June 8 during CMA Fest. There are a very limited number of tickets left for the up-close-and-personal set from the singer/songwriter revealing stories behind brand new songs including the already Top 10 new single “Look What God Gave Her,” while also delivering the smash hits and fan-favorites that shaped him into the artist he is today in a rare stripped-down, in-the-round setting.

CENTER POINT ROAD connects fans to Thomas Rhett’s past, weaving together autobiographical stories with familiar sounds that have propelled his meteoric career. The follow up to his GRAMMY®-nominated, PLATINUM-selling No. 1 album LIFE CHANGES that has surpassed one billion streams, CENTER POINT ROAD is a return to Thomas Rhett’s roots. All those moments and more are revealed through a series of deeply-personal twists and turns – but this project isn’t about pining for glory days. It’s about knowing where you came from and who you really are, regardless of how much has changed. It’s about pushing forward, chasing crazy dreams and raising a family, and staying true to yourself in the process. The upcoming album’s lead single “Look What God Gave Her” has already earned the highest chart debut of Thomas Rhett’s career, following a slew of RIAA certified PLATINUM and GOLD chart-toppers, bringing Thomas Rhett’s No. 1 tally to 12. Thomas Rhett was named country radio’s most played artist of 2018, following a CMA Triple Play award for penning three No. 1 songs within a 12-month period, adding to his collection of trophies from the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, Billboard Music Awards, CMT Music Awards and more. Lady Antebellum Deliver “What If I Never Get Over You”

LADY ANTEBELLUM DELIVER NEW SINGLE “WHAT IF I NEVER GET OVER YOU” TO COUNTRY RADIO TODAY

The Heart-Wrenching Track Comes to Life Through the Official Music Video This Afternoon on YouTube at 12:00P CT

Lady A Connects Directly with Fans Tonight via Facebook Live at 6:30P CT Before OUR KIND OF VEGAS Residency at Palms Casino Resort

NASHVILLE, TN (May 17, 2019) – Lady Antebellum is back on the radio airwaves and at digital partners today with “What If I Never Get Over You” serving as the first single under BMLG Records. Representing a new chapter as well as a return to the beginning for Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood, the plush mid-tempo ballad features Scott and Kelley trading anxiety and shared despair over an ending relationship. To celebrate, at 6:30P CT tonight Lady A will host a Facebook Live fan event where they will perform the new single with a group of hand-selected fans and take questions, before the continuation of their first-ever Sin City OUR KIND OF VEGAS residency, at the Palms Casino Resort’s Pearl Concert Theater.

“I feel like ‘What If I Never Get Over You’ is a turn back to our beginning, both in the sound and the core of who we are,” said Haywood. “We love being able to put out those big questions about lost love, like ‘What if time doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do?’ or ‘What if I never move on from this relationship?”

Produced by Dann Huff, “What If I Never Get Over You” is one of those instant classics—a song that feels like it’s been around for years because of its relatable lyrics and warm, comforting energy. The duet underscores the universal truths at the center of its lyrics while teardrop guitars and crashing drums illustrate how the emotions that rush through ex-lovers’ minds can run in similar circles even when the two people involved are miles apart.

“We hit this place of wanting to go back to where we came from,” explained Scott. “This single is a great example of that. We’ve got 13 years of life together, of work together, of ups and downs in our personal lives. All of that kind of encompasses one same feeling: ‘We’re here, we’re loving it, and we’re turning over a new leaf — one that feels really familiar and authentic to ourselves as a band.'”

“It’s been several years since we’ve had a chance to release a duet like this as a single,” added Kelley. “When we played it for our team their excitement reassured us this song was the one to lead with out of the gate. It’s been a bit of our magic from day one. Our very first song in 2006, ‘All We’d Ever Need,’ was just written for Hillary, but she said, ‘Charles, you should sing a verse too’ and that’s how we started the co-lead singer thing.”

The ailing lyrics behind “What If I Never Get Over You” are heightened through its official music video, which premieres today at 12:00P CT on YouTube. Director Sarah McColgan hones in on the sentiment of a love-lost relationship and its haunting thoughts that are left behind. Fans can watch the music video here: https://ladyantebellum.lnk.to/WIINGOYVideoPR.

Over the course of their decade-long career, Lady Antebellum has become one of the 21st century’s premier vocal groups, blending deeply felt emotions with classic country sounds. As a Country-radio staple, the trio has amassed record-breaking success with nine No. 1 hits while ushering in more than 18 million album units and 34 million tracks sold, with over 4 billion digital streams. Known for their 9X PLATINUM hit “Need You Now” which is the highest certified song by a Country group, they have earned ACM and CMA Vocal Group of the Year trophies three years in a row and countless other honors including seven GRAMMY awards, Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards along with a Tony Award nod. The trio continues their first-ever Las Vegas residency, OUR KIND OF VEGAS, with upcoming shows in May and August. For more information on new music and tickets, visit ladyantebellum.com.

Nashville, Tenn. (May 16, 2019) — Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie Daniels is celebrating big this month as his genre-crossing hit song “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” reaches its 40th year of being the most impactful fiddle-centric song to ever be released.
“People ask me if I imagined ‘The Devil Went Down To Georgia’ would be the success it has been,” says Daniels. “My answer is I had no idea that forty years after the fact we would still be talking about it almost as if it was a new release.”
A worldwide phenomenon, the track became a household name as no one had ever released a song with a storyline so colorful or with the fiddle as the star. Daniels’ aggressive yet strategic performance launched The Charlie Daniels Band into stardom upon the song’s release in May of 1979.
With “Devil” hitting its 40th anniversary, Daniels stopped by CMT‘s Hot 20 Countdownto talk about the song’s impact, legacy, and never-ending popularity, even to this day.
Watch the segment HERE.
“The Devil Went Down to Georgia” song facts:
  • Despite rumors, Daniels was never forced to change the lyrics in the final verse from “S.O.B.” to “son-of-a-gun.” Both versions were recorded on the same day with everyone in agreement that the “son-of-a-gun” version would have a better likelihood of getting radio airplay
  • Covered by Jerry Reed, Lynn Anderson, The Chipmunks, Blues Traveler, The Muppets, Keith Urban, the Zac Brown Band, Colt Ford, Primus, a rap version by K.M.C Kru and a parody by Cletus T. Judd. Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band are just a few of the artists who frequently perform the song live
  • The song won CMA, ACM and GRAMMY® Awards
  • Certified platinum-selling single (over one million units sold)
  • Downloads: Over 2.5 million
  • Album sales: Well over 16 million units sold including copies from The Charlie Daniels Band, as well as soundtrack albums featuring the song
  • Streaming: Over 290 million streams on top three streaming services combined (Apple Music/Spotify/Pandora)

Recent acclaim for Prine and The Tree of Forgiveness
“Stunningly, The Tree Of Forgiveness can nearly go toe-to-toe with John Prine’s towering debut 37 years ago. Prine’s way with a phrase that makes you chuckle and yanks a tear all at once is undiminished…Please, John, don’t make us wait so long next time for more wit and wisdom.”

“Prine moves effortlessly among songs bursting with humor to others that resonate deeply and profoundly…”—Los Angeles Times
 “America’s Greatest Living Songwriter”—Men’s Journal
“There’s possibly no living figure more influential on the current class of artists in roots, country and Americana than Prine…what he cooks up reveals truths about humanity’s blessings as well as its curses. He’s not passing out spoonfuls of sugar to make the medicine go down. Instead, he’s trying to help us tolerate the bitter taste left by bewildering, painful experiences like death and love. It makes everything else seem that much sweeter.”—Nashville Scene
“The best John Prine song is probably just the last one you listened to—and now there are ten more of them.”—The New Yorker
“…the kind of song Mr. Prine has been writing since his career began: a handful of folky chords, a melody that sounds like it’s always been around, a grainy and understated vocal and lyrics that summon complex emotions in a rigorous minimum of syllables.”
The New York Times
“In this album, The Tree of Forgiveness, all his roots merge. He may be singing about going to heaven, but his earthiness keeps his music alive.”—NPR Fresh Air

“The songwriter’s first album of new music in 13 years is wise and economical. At 71, John Prine is a virtuoso at understatement, finding the joy in the mundane, and writing about what it means to be alive.”—Pitchfork
“The simple arrangements here hark back to his early albums, allowing the words and his voice to shine brightly. The songs are short, and his voice is barely a whisper, but they’re pure Prine, with vignettes marked by unforgettable melodies and sharp, insightful lyrics.”—Relix
it’s as deft and thoughtful as a devoted fan could hope for…a meditative back-porch sort of record, content even with its mild discontent. But casual elegance abounds…Prine is an Illinois native, a god-tier singer-songwriter, and an American legend.”—The Ringer

Sound Opinions
“Prine’s heart is all human. It beats in every song on The Tree of Forgiveness…the most personal record of his 47-year recording career.”—The Tennessean
“To understand why he has endured for nearly 50 years as one of the most beloved singer-songwriters ever, you have to rely on anecdotal evidence. You must point to actual human beings, rather than numbers, to understand the breadth of his impact.”—UPROXX
“It’s prime Prine: Accompanied by simple, instantly memorable memories, its lyrics tell of the agonies and absurdities of life that often stand side by side…musically as well as lyrically, The Tree of Forgiveness is a pleasure, one that, though a long time coming, will delight for a period that’s longer still…It’s a soul-deep treat to be in his company
once again.”—The Wall Street Journal

KEITH URBAN RELEASES NEW SINGLE “WE WERE”

REIGNING CMA/ACM ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR KEITH URBAN RELEASES NEW SINGLE “WE WERE”

After teasing his return to the recording studio on social media, reigning CMA & ACM Entertainer of the Year Keith Urban today released a brand-new single, “We Were,” a reflective mid-tempo ode to mischievous youth. “I like the idea that life just happens,” says Urban. “At some point, whether in the moment or not, you just gotta go with it.”   The new track can now be streamed at http://strm.to/WeWere.

The track’s emotive and picturesque lyric elicits memories to which most can relate.  This, as Urban says, is what initially drew him to the track.  “When I first heard “We Were,” I not only heard it, but I saw it. It made me feel something. The imagery is so strong – a stamp on the back of a hand, a Saturday night cover band, the girlfriend (or boyfriend) we ran with, and a fake ID (which of course I never had). So many of us can relate or will likely relate at some point!”

“We Were” was written by Ryan Tyndell, Jeff Hyde, and Eric Church, and was co-produced by Dann Huff and Urban.

With the help of New York Times Best-Selling Author, Ken Abraham, and Travis’ wife Mary, this memoir recounts the singer’s journey of perseverance and redemption from his early childhood memories up until the book was penned, recovering from a life-changing stroke and painful divorce, enjoying the life he was given and learning to “sing a new song.” The book can be purchased at various retailers as well as www.foreverandeveramenbook.com.

“‘Even in his state, his semi-coma state, he squeezed my hand,’ she told Jenna Bush Hager in an interview alongside her husband on TODAY Monday. ‘And he laid there, and this tear just fell. And I went back to the doctors and I said, ‘We’re fighting this.’” – Mary Travis on TODAY

“Despite the singer’s limitations, ‘I don’t think he’s ever seen himself as a victim…’ – Mary Travis in People

Subject: CHASE RICE TOPS COUNTRY AIRPLAY CHARTS FOR A SECOND WEEK WITH “EYES ON YOU”

Smash-Hit Earns Rice His First No. 1 as an Artist “Eyes On You” Also Enters Top 40 on All-Genre Billboard Hot 100

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With Gold-certified hit “Eyes On You” earning the top spot at Country radio for the second consecutive week on both the Mediabase and Billboard charts, multi-Platinum entertainer Chase Rice celebrates the result of years of hard work that have triumphantly culminated in his first No. 1 hit as an artist.

“From the moment we wrote ‘Eyes On You’ we felt how special it was, and then that was confirmed when we saw how strongly the fans reacted to it right away,” reflects Rice. “My career has certainly had its ups and downs, but we knew we were putting the work in to set ourselves up for something even bigger. To have it all pay off in this way makes me so grateful that I get to make music I’m proud of every day and makes me hungry to keep pushing for more. Thank you to every single person from the fans at our shows to the people playing our music on the radio for making this crazy dream of mine come true.”

Written by Rice alongside frequent collaborators Ashley Gorley and Chris DeStefano, the singalong chorus of “Eyes On You” tells the story of a man so enamored by a woman that the world’s most beautiful settings pale in comparison.

In addition to instantly becoming a fan-favorite at live shows and a viral sensation – streamed more than 50 million times and hitting Spotify’s U.S. Viral 50 Chart before it was even announced as a single, then landing on Rolling Stone’s “10 Best Country and Americana Songs of the Week” upon its release – “Eyes On You” has now been streamed more than 130 times and has also earned critical praise as evidence that Rice’s unique journey and hard work thus far is paying off.

After a scorching start to his career as a songwriter on Florida Georgia Line’s Diamond-certified No. 1 crossover hit “Cruise” in 2012, Rice quickly climbed the charts on his own with both debut single “Ready Set Roll” and follow-up “Gonna Wanna Tonight” hitting the Top 5 and earning Platinum certifications.

“When you start out that hot, you sometimes miss opportunities to have deeper relationships with people. And that’s what we’ve fixed,” Rice recently shared with Taste of Country.

In the period defined by a lack of radio airplay which followed that initial wave of success, Rice focused on rebuilding from the ground up. As the Tennessean described, “he switched record labels, fought his way back to country radio relevance and [nabbed] his first No. 1 hit with ‘Eyes on You.’”

He also focused on engaging with his passionate fans at live shows, continuously growing his audience and selling out shows across the country before returning to the airwaves with new music. The resulting two-week No. 1 has shown that his strategy paid off, with Sounds Like Nashville describing “Eyes On You” as “a testament to his growth in the genre [which] shows promise of all that he has left to do.”

“‘Eyes On You,’” Billboard proclaims, “has proven his instincts were right.”

“Twenty years ago I wrote and recorded a song called ‘Dive’ and had the amazing good fortune of having it go to No. 1 on the Christian Radio chart. I re-recorded it recently in the style of the Bluegrass music I first heard as a boy in Kentucky with fellow Kentuckian and Bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs. It just went to No. 1 on Bluegrass Radio chart! I’m blown away and so grateful to everyone who has helped give this song a 2nd life! I’m still ‘Divin’ In!’” said Chapman.

“After the first listen of ‘Dive,’ I felt all the elements were in place for a chart-topping single. SCC surrounded himself with some of Bluegrass Music’s most respected musicians, delivered a powerful vocal and then added Ricky Skaggs to complete the offering. There are, no doubt, more music fans familiar with Bluegrass Music now, because they already loved Steven Curtis Chapman. And I, for one, can’t wait for more!” added Cindy Baucom, Knee Deep In Bluegrass.

Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts also joined Chapman on the project that follows his 2013 Billboard No. 1 Bluegrass Album Deep Roots, released exclusively with Cracker Barrel. Billboard exclusively premiered a first listen to “‘Til The Blue” featuring LeVox. The heartfelt song was written by Chapman, Lori McKenna and Barry Dean.

The homage to Chapman’s rural Kentucky roots, which showcases the platinum-selling singer-songwriter’s “effortless ease with which he segues into the bluegrass genre, picking and grinning with the best of them” (Andrew Greenhalgh/CCM Magazine), includes a mixture of familiar hymns like “Life Is Like A Mountain Railroad” and “I’ll Fly Away,” fan-favorite hits including “Cinderella” and brand-new songs such as “‘Til The Blue” and “Where The Bluegrass Grows.” Deeper Roots was produced by Chapman and Brent Milligan, engineered by Milligan and Brent King, mixed by Milligan, King and Sean Moffitt and mastered by Brad Blackwood at Euphonic Masters.

Chapman is also celebrating his life story with his new CD and DVD offering, A Great Adventure LIVE Solo Performances of Timeless Hits, available now. The Gaither Music Group project was recorded at Gaither Studios in Indiana and hosted by Gospel Music Hall of Fame member Bill Gaither. A Great Adventure is distributed through Capitol Christian Distribution and Universal Music and is available worldwide in Christian and general market retail and digital outlets.
