COUNTRY SINGER JENNY TOLMAN TO APPEAR ON TLC’S “SAY YES TO THE DRESS”

SATURDAY, AUGUST 28 AT 7 P.M. CST

Lauded by the Tennessean as an ‘Artist to Watch’ and included in MusicRow Magazine’s ‘Next Big Thing’ class of 2020, Jenny Tolman steps into a new kind of spotlight as she appears on TLC‘s “Say Yes to the Dress” Saturday, August 28 at 7 p.m. CST.

In the episode, the singer-songwriter who is known for her glamorous, rhinestone-embellished stage outfits, shops for her wedding dress with famed Kleinfeld Bridal consultants in their Manhattan store. Tolman is flanked by her mother and sister, who offer support and advice as she tries on dresses for her upcoming nuptials to GRAMMY-nominated producer Dave Brainard. As featured on People.com, the pair got engaged in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in October of 2020 after four years of dating.

Now in season 19, TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress” goes inside Kleinfeld Bridal, the Manhattan-based bridal salon that is arguably the world’s finest. With more than 250 professionals, most of them veterans from the shop’s early days in Brooklyn, bend over backward to make each bride’s experience unforgettable. Part bridal story, part fashion makeover and part family therapy session, each “Say Yes to the Dress” episode looks at the personalities and craftsmanship that come into play as the Kleinfeld staff goes to sometimes extreme lengths to realize each bride’s dreams.
ABOUT JENNY TOLMAN:
With a razor-sharp wit and throwback sound, Jenny Tolman is on deck to become her generation’s Roger Miller—a comedic troubadour with a decidedly feminine perspective, offering savvy wordplay and wisdom far beyond her years. With titles like “High Class White Trash,” her debut album There Goes the Neighborhood lit up Nashville in 2020 by delivering engaging snapshots of small-town life in the fictional Jennyville. Not many new artists would step into the spotlight quite so brazenly but doing so has been worth the gamble thus far for Tolman, with the Nashville Scene singling out There Goes the Neighborhood as “Best Country Debut Album,” while The Tennessean named her an “Artist to Watch” and MusicRow Magazine included her in its “Next Big Thing” Class of 2020. Pretty heady stuff for a 25-year-old whom veteran Music Row writer Robert K. Oermann says is “practically single-handedly bringing humor back into country music.”

CHRIS JANSON SHARES TESTAMENT TO UNCONDITIONAL LOVE IN NEW SINGLE “BYE MOM”

Electrifying entertainer Chris Janson is perhaps best known for his collection of party-starting No. 1 hits and famed high-octane performances that have inspired superstar Garth Brooks to declare, “This guy has ‘it’ and he knows what to do with it” – but when he has something on his heart, he opts for a different approach. Janson first shared the more introspective side of his acclaimed songwriting with the ACM award-winning, Gold-certified “Drunk Girl” in late 2017. For his newest single “Bye Mom” – available now (listen HERE) – he once again turns inward, this time to share a triumphant ode to unconditional love.
The single is derived from the real-life story of co-writer Brandon Kinney, who lost his mother earlier this year. He, alongside longtime friend Janson, put the experience into lyrics as a tribute to his mom; together they turned the song into a message not just about loss, but also about loving someone more than yourself. Whether from a mother, father, brother, sister, friend or lover, “Bye Mom” gently opines that everyone deserves to feel that kind of immeasurable love.
“My co-writer Brandon and I wrote ‘Bye Mom’ this year after he lost his mother,” Janson shared. “Even though it was written as a tribute to one special person, I think this song is universal. At its core, ‘Bye Mom’ is about unconditional love – ‘you don’t realize you’re somebody that somebody loves more than themselves.’ Whether it’s from a mom or someone else, everyone deserves to experience that kind of love.”
“Bye Mom” is the first single from Janson’s upcoming fourth studio album and is due at radio next month. The celebrated recording artist joined Warner Music Nashville in 2015 as his now 3x Platinum, chart-topping smash “Buy Me A Boat” became a viral and now perennial sensation. Over the past six years he has earned three additional No. 1 hits, been invited to become a member of the esteemed Grand Ole Opry and more. He has garnered upwards of seven billion airplay impressions and over 1 billion on-demand career streams to date.
A visible ambassador for and champion of the country music community, Janson will take the historic stage at the Ryman Auditorium on August 25 for the14th Annual Academy of Country Music Honors as both performer and presenter. He will help commemorate the incredible behind-the-scenes talent of country music via the ACM Industry and Studio Recording Awards. The event, which will air as a television special later this year, will be livestreamed on Circle Network’s social channels – Circle All Access Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
The following week, the larger-than-life stage-shaker will make his Bonnaroo debut. He will cap the Grand Ole Opry at Bonnaroo 2021 event on Thursday, Sept. 2 with a finale performance. Meanwhile, Janson is on the road for his Back At It tour dates. The run spans nearly every single weekend from now through October and features headlining performances, festivals, fairs and special events. DARIUS RUCKER SURPASSES $2.5 MILLION RAISED FOR ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL WITH 12TH ANNUAL “DARIUS & FRIENDS”

Sold-Out Ryman Auditorium and At-Home Mandolin Live Stream Audiences + Golf Tournament Participants Combine to Raise More Than $410,000 in 2021

All-Star Lineup Featured Jason Aldean, Brothers Osborne, John Daly, Keb’ Mo’, Runaway June and Elvie Shane

Nearly 15 years after first visiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® where he was immediately inspired to pledge his support, three-time GRAMMY Award winner Darius Rucker continues to give back to the mission, surpassing the $2.5 million mark in his fundraising efforts with this year’s 12th annual “Darius & Friends” benefit concert on Tuesday night, preceded by his corresponding golf tournament and silent auction on Monday morning. This year’s event alone raised more than $410,000, bringing together a sold-out audience at the historic Ryman Auditorium with at-home fans watching via the Mandolin live stream.

Reflecting on his first visit to the hospital in 2008 to the Tennessean ahead of this year’s show, Rucker noted, “You see these kids who are sick, and they’re so happy to be there, because their caregivers are so loving and giving to them. And then you find out that nobody ever gets a bill. That blew me away. I was just like, ‘We’ll figure out some way to help you guys as much as I can.’”

Now, more than a decade later, that effort has become an annual tradition. The benefit concert, which typically serves as an unofficial kickoff to CMA Fest as fans descend on Music City each summer, was hosted virtually in 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic. In returning home to the iconic Ryman Auditorium this year, the live stream was also kept in place to allow fans at home to tune in alongside the sold-out audience who were treated to a surprise lineup of stars featuring Jason AldeanBrothers OsborneJohn Daly, Keb’ Mo’Runaway June and Elvie Shane.

After a silent auction and live donation round, Rucker kicked off the musical festivities with a trio of hits – his Platinum-certified No. 1s “This” and “For the First Time” followed by current single “My Masterpiece” – before introducing the first friends of the evening.

“I’ve been in this town for 12 years and I’ve gotten to know a lot of people,” Rucker noted, “but some people you get to really know and they become family. These guys are family.” With that, the Ryman audience gave a rousing welcome to six-time GRAMMY nominees Brothers Osborne, who brought a high-energy performance of their hits “It Ain’t My Fault,” “I’m Not For Everyone” and “Shoot Me Straight.”

“You’ve got to drop the name and tell the story, right?” said Rucker as he returned to the stage, sharing the tale behind an Ed Sheeran cowrite that resulted in brand new song “Sara,” a where-are-they-now ode to Rucker’s fifth grade girlfriend. He then thrilled the crowd with his Double Platinum-certified No. 1 “Alright” before introducing newcomer Elvie Shane, making his Ryman debut with an emotional performance of current Top 10 single “My Boy,” which drew a standing ovation from the audience, and keeping the crowd on their feet with upbeat anthem “Keep On Strummin’.”

“I was working retail in the early Hootie days, selling records,” shared Rucker as he returned to the stage, “and this song by Nanci Griffith was playing one day. It blew my mind, and it started my love for Country music… Years later, my mom had a heart attack and went into a coma. I sat in that hospital room for eight hours and I sang this song over and over. This week Nanci died. She’s one of my great friends and I want to play this song because it means so much to me,” he noted, before performing an emotional rendition of “I Hope It Rains” in tribute to his late friend.

Rucker then invited yet another surprise guest to the stage, sending the audience into a frenzy as he introduced legendary golfer John Daly. Together, they performed a rousing rendition of “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” before Rucker continued with his hits “Homegrown Honey” and “If I Told You” as well as Hootie & the Blowfish classic “Hold My Hand.”

“I would do anything for him, and I know he’d do anything for me,” shared Rucker of his next guest, introducing three-peat ACM Entertainer of the Year Jason Aldean. “He did me dirty making me follow a Hootie song,” joked Aldean, before noting “Darius really is one of the nicest, coolest guys in town and so it’s a pleasure to be here, especially for St. Jude.”

Sitting on a stool and accompanied by a single guitar player, Aldean thrilled the crowd with stripped-back versions of his 3x Platinum No. 1 hit “Big Green Tractor” and Gold-certified No. 1 “Any Ol’ Barstool.” Rucker then returned to the stage to perform “Radio” and Hootie hit “Only Wanna Be With You,” ahead of introducing the penultimate guest for the evening; five-time GRAMMY Award winner Keb’ Mo’, who wowed with “Rita” and “I Remember You” before inviting Rucker back for a duet of the Marvin Gaye classic “What’s Going On,” earning a sustained ovation from the crowd.

Rucker kept the Hootie & the Blowfish nostalgia coming as he performed “Let Her Cry” under a single spotlight, accompanied by a violin and the chorus of a sold out Mother Church audience, before continuing the singalong with his latest No. 1 hit, “Beers And Sunshine.” He then introduced the final surprise guests of the evening, bringing trio Runaway June to the stage for their Ryman debut. The CMT “Next Women of Country” thrilled with their Top 5 hit “Buy My Own Drinks” and gave fans a preview of brand new music out this Friday with “T-Shirt” before inviting the audience to sing along for their rendition of the Tom Petty classic, “American Girl.”

Rucker closed out the main entertainment of the evening with his Platinum-certified No. 1 “Come Back Song” before returning to the stage for an encore that included a cover of “Valerie,” with Rucker backed by the powerful vocals of his keys player’s wife, Tiffany Turner, and an upbeat performance of album cut “Hands On Me.” The evening then ended according to tradition, with Rucker joined by the sold-out Ryman crowd for a “Wagon Wheel” singalong, the feel-good energy throughout the auditorium symbolic of the night as a whole.

This year’s milestone fundraising event adds yet another successful page to the decade-plus history of “Darius & Friends.” Prior guests have included Lauren Alaina, Brooks & Dunn, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Sheryl Crow, Ashley McBryde, A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys, Brad Paisley, Kenny Rogers and Paul Stanley of KISS, among many others.

The annual fundraising event, made possible with support from generous sponsors PGA TOUR, CDW, Hendrix Enterprises, UMG, CAA, A. O. Smith, AMD, Arrow and Intel, helps ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Stephanie Quayle Evokes Love and the Spirit of the American West With Latest Single “Lone Ranger”

Big Sky Music Group recording artist, Stephanie Quayle, has released her latest single, “Lone Ranger,” available now. With a sound matching the spirit of the unbridled West and a message of finding that epic love – the one that no other can match – “Lone Ranger,” written by Quayle, Andrew Scott Wills and Rick Huckaby, immediately grabs you by the heartstrings and leaves you with the feeling of romantic grandeur of a love for the ages.

LISTEN:     “Lone Ranger”

“This song is guttural when you soak it up and truly feel the weight of the lyrics,” says Stephanie. “When I think about the kind of love that is so strong — so irreplaceable — that you’d rather be alone than with anyone else, that is that ‘once in a lifetime love.’  This song is a symbol of that statement, that sentiment. You’ve branded my heart so good; you’ve ruined me… it’s unbridled and intense — until forever ends.”

Recently, Stephanie announced she is teaming up with iconic boot brand, Lucchese Bootmaker, on a signature line of Western lifestyle inspired boots and will be the face of the brand’s upcoming Fall and Winter retail campaigns. Stephanie embodies the Western lifestyle and Lucchese in every way – from growing up on the boundless frontier of Montana, working on her North Carolina based, Summerfield Farms, and her inviting and connective performances on stages across the country.

Stephanie will also be headlining the Lucchese Listener Lounge Series which will include stops in Houston, College Station, Frisco, Fort Worth, Denver and Santa Fe – with additional stops to be added. Each performance will be a powered acoustic set to create an intimate and unique experience for Lucchese customers.

SHERYL CROW RELEASES LIVE FROM THE RYMAN & MORE

Since the first beat of her 7X PLATINUM-certified TUESDAY NIGHT MUSIC CLUB and self-titled Best Rock Album Grammy-winning follow-up, SHERYL CROW has created a sound that not only solidified her essential place in Rock but has impacted generations with a straightforward approach to life through her songs. Today the multi-instrumentalist releases LIVE FROM THE RYMAN & MORE, a 27-song set filled with tracks from her critically lauded THREADS and signature hits such as “Strong Enough,” “All I Wanna Do” and “Soak Up The Sun.” Captured on stages across the country in 2019, the collection via The Valory Music Co. is a potent reminder that Sheryl Crow still kicks ass.

Listen/stream: https://sherylcrow.lnk.to/LivePR

Rock & Roll is at its best live, and that’s where the nine-time Grammy Awards® winner really delivers. LIVE FROM THE RYMAN & MORE transcends typical live album formulas, revitalizing Crow’s familiar hits with an array of guest performers and shifting dynamics. The pristine recordings transport the listener, delivering palpable energy that, although they might be on their couch or in their car, feels like the next best thing to a real live Sheryl Crow concert.

“There is a connection and community that is uniquely present at a live show – strangers singing in unison, fans shouting requests, even the occasional flubbed lyric and broken guitar string,” laughs Crow. “I’m grateful for moments like these and so happy we could put into them in this musical time capsule. My hope is that those same feelings flood back for listeners as the music plays.”

From the first propulsive downstrokes of “Steve McQueen,” Crow and her band bring the fire. Recorded over five nights at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, Los Angeles’ cutting edge Ace Theatre and the legendary Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island, the songwriting superstar delivers a masterclass in Roots music — from Rock, Pop, Gospel, Blues that is psychedelic in places, Country leaning in others. Inspired collaborations find Brandi Carlile and Maren Morris harmonizing on “If It Makes You Happy,” Stevie Nicks defiantly strutting on “Prove You Wrong,” Emmylou Harris adding shimmering angst to “Nobody’s Perfect,” Jason Isbell joyously throttling Bob Dylan’s “Everything Is Broken” and Lucius creating a bluesy Gospel tension on “Run, Baby, Run.” The immediacy surges throughout the performances, but ultimately Crow’s voice and enthusiasm define these songs.

Crow performed Soak Up The Sun” and Real Gone” as part of ABC’s Good Morning America Summer Concert Series earlier today. Watch the interview and the “Everyday Is A Winding Road” bonus clip, plus join the online conversation with #SherylCrowOnGMA.

This weekend, Crow takes the live tracks to a live crowd with stops in Bonner, MT (9/13); Quincy, WA (9/14) and Troutdale, OR (9/15). For more tour dates, please visit https://sherylcrow.com/tour.

LACI KAYE BOOTH REVEALS SELF-TITLED COLLECTION

American Idol Standout Makes Highly Anticipated Debut – Listen Now

While fans nationwide may have come to know and love LACI KAYE BOOTH on the American Idol stage, the Nashville-by-way-of-Texas newcomer is reintroducing herself with a self-titled debut out today via BMLG Records. The 8-track collection blends her raspy yet velvet alto with the echoes of her Country influences from Merle Haggard to The Chicks and Shania Twain. LISTEN NOW: https://LKB.lnk.to/SelfTitledPR

“My whole life, I prayed, and I wished for this to happen.  I prayed for it every night, and every time I’d blow out my candles on my birthday cake, I’d wish for it,” Laci recalls. “In my heart of hearts, this is exactly what I always wanted.”

Growing a dedicated fanbase, she was thrust into the spotlight as a season favorite on Season 17 of American Idol and her unique “dreamy Country” sound is exactly what drew multiple record labels around town to the young artist, likening her to the Lana Del Rey of Country. However, after meeting with Big Machine Label Group heavyweights Scott Borchetta and Jimmy Harnen, Laci knew a perfect match in their team alongside 19 Recordings and producer Dann Huff.

The musical family continued to build as Nathan Chapman, James Slater, Charles Kelley, Sam Ellis, Laura Veltz, Jimmy Robbins, Liz Rose, and so many more joined the fold. Treasured Nashville songwriters who welcomed Booth completely with open arms. Through word of mouth in the Nashville songwriting community she quickly proved herself and became a sought-after artist for collaborating. Co-writing every track on this collection, each one is every bit as unmistakable, unforgettable and uninhibited as her pure tone and whisper-tinged vocals.

Jimmie Allen, available everywhere today. The new song, which was added to Spotify’s New Music Friday upon release, is accompanied by a behind-the-scenes in-studio visualizer, also out now. The fresh collaboration comes on the heels of the announcement of her forthcoming debut project, Already Drank That Beer, arriving Aug. 27.

Written by Cooke and Back Blocks Music’s Blake Pendergrass, “Good Goodbye” picks up as a couple ends their relationship but longs for one last memory together before they go their separate ways. In this duet, the voices of Cooke and Allen portray the honest, raw and complicated emotions that come with saying goodbye.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of Jimmie Allen – so having him want to collaborate is such a dream come true,” shares Cooke. “We had so much fun with this song and I’m so grateful to Jimmie for putting his own spin on it, and really adding something special.”
