SHANNON CLARK WILL RELEASE HIS STUNNING SOLO RECORD ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ON JULY 17

Shannon Clark is a weathered voice from the heartland, born of rustbelt roots, raised on grit, and, as he puts it, always led by love. After more than a decade fronting his family band, Shannon Clark & the Sugar, touring nationally, landing on Americana and college radio charts, and sharing stages with some of country’s biggest names, Clark is stepping into a new solo chapter that feels both stripped back and deeply personal. There is a quiet confidence in this evolution, grounded in lived experience and a refusal to chase perfection. “I’m not trying to be perfect,” he says. “I’m just trying to be real and sometimes that hits harder.” That ethos carries through every corner of his sound, where country soul, Americana, and raw, unfiltered storytelling meet.
His forthcoming album All You Need To Know, set for Spring 2026, captures that spirit in full. Born from a soul searching stretch that began with demos recorded on a sailboat alongside his daughter and producer Mark Howard, and finished just two months later in Nashville with Justin Weaver, the record traces the arc of a life shaped by love, loss, and resilience. “This record is just my story,” Clark explains, reflecting on his 21 year marriage and the journey they have built together, “the good, the bad and the in between stuff I call life.” Even with its emotional weight, there is an intentional lightness to the listening experience. “I wanted this record to be easy to digest, mostly happy and a record you could drive to.” It is a project that feels expansive yet intimate, the sound of an artist who has lived the stories he sings and is finally telling them on his own terms.
About Shannon Clark
Shannon is a weathered voice from the heartland—born of rustbelt roots, raised on grit, and led by love. A soulful singer-songwriter blending Americana, country, and raw honesty, Clark’s new solo chapter follows a decade with his family band, Shannon Clark & the Sugar, whose music charted on Americana and college radio, toured nationally, and shared festival stages with Tim McGraw, Jelly Roll, and Luke Bryan.
Now stepping into the spotlight under his own name, Clark brings a deeper, more intimate voice to the forefront—one that earned him Winner of the 2024 International Songwriting Competition, and reflects the hard-won lessons of fatherhood, grief, and resilience. His forthcoming solo record was born during a soul-searching trip to the ocean, where he demoed songs on a sailboat with his daughter & Grammy-winning producer Mark Howard (Bob Dylan, Lucinda Williams), before heading to Nashville to record with Justin Weaver (Wynonna Judd, The Chicks).
Equal parts country soul, singer-songwriter grit, and poetic realism, Shannon Clark’s music calls to mind the storytelling of Jason Isbell, the heart of Springsteen, and the gospel of carrying on. It’s a bold new chapter from an artist who’s lived the stories he sings—still rooted in family, still full of heart, but now charting his own path across the backroads of American song. His New Album “All You Need To Know” is Set to Drop in the Spring of 2026.
