GARY ALLAN STAYING “RUTHLESS,” ADDING MORE DATES TO CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED TOUR

Country star and multiplatinum artist Gary Allan has just added more tour dates to his Ruthless Tour, a nationwide celebration of his critically acclaimed 10th studio album Ruthless — and, as Allan says, 25 years of “doing it the hard way.”

In addition to his already announced dates spanning from Wisconsin to California, newly announced shows include multiple stops in South Carolina, Louisiana, and plenty more. Allan will also make an emotional return to his hometown of La Mirada, California in July. “After being off the road for so long through the pandemic, it feels great to be adding dates,” Allan says. “We’re returning to some favorite venues as well as playing new ones for the first time.”

Allan released RUTHLESS in June 2021 after recording more than 30 songs and whittling down the list to his favorite 13. The album marked Allan’s first in eight years.

Landing at No. 8 on the Top Country Albums chart, RUTHLESS earned immediate praise for showcasing what Allan does best: edgy, impassioned vocals and clever, thoughtful lyrics.

But the Ruthless Tour isn’t just about celebrating Allan’s recent triumphs. It’s about appreciating his 25-year career accumulating more than 8 million album sales and nearly 3 billion streams across all platforms, too.

One of country music’s original “modern-day outlaws,” Allan has won over fans, peers, and critics alike thanks to adding his unapologetic edge to everything he does.

Pop icon Kenny Loggins is enjoying the resurgence of his 1986 hit “Danger Zone.” The track was featured in the original Top Gun soundtrack and makes another appearance in Paramount’s Top Gun: Maverick (May 2022). Top Gun: Maverick is the sequel to the 1986 blockbuster and has grossed $282 million at the box office worldwide, the largest opening in history for a Memorial Day weekend release.
Although Loggins re-recorded “Danger Zone” for the project,  the film’s producers decided to use the original version for the sequel.  Loggins revisits the story behind the hit via American Songwriter here.
In addition to Loggins, Reliant Talent represents a diverse client list encompassing artists from Americana, Comedy, Country, Rock, Jazz, and more. Loggins, a two-time GRAMMY® Award-winner, has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, including chart-topping hits such as “This Is It,” “I’m Alright,” and “Footloose.”
Over five decades, Loggins has left an imprint on the pop landscape as a solo artist and as half of the famed ‘70s duo Loggins & Messina. He has been a devoted philanthropist and children’s advocate throughout his career. His children’s album, Return to Pooh Corner, is the best-selling children’s album of the last 20 years. Loggins also released his latest children’s project, the book Footloose, inspired by his 1985 Oscar® nominated and Grammy® Award-winning “Song of the Year” in 2016. Loggins remains active in supporting local and national organizations, including Toys for Tots, Unity Shoppe, Make a Wish, Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, and Little Kids Rock.
Loggins’ accolades include ASCAP’s Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award at the annual Chapin Awards hosted by WhyHunger (2016). His song “Conviction of the Heart” has been hailed as the “unofficial anthem of the environmental movement.”

Owens’ “You Go Good” made the top #3 most downloaded & top #3 most streamed tracks on Play MPE, demonstrating Shane’s unique ability to relate to every listener. His previous single, “Music Man continues to stand out as it has broken the top 40 spot on the Music Row CountryBreakout Radio Chart reaching #34. Known for being one of the few country artists who deliver modern-day sounds while honoring traditional country roots, Owens continues to pay homage to his heroes and stays true to his own style. From playing the world-famous Grand Ole Opry with his debut in 2017 and appearing in many CMA festivals throughout his career, Owens’ most recent single “You Go Good” is another reason that proves he is dominating the industry.

About Shane Owens:
Named by Rolling Stone Country as one of the “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know,” and awarded 2018 Music Row Independent Artist of the Year, Shane Owens has been building a strong following for more than a decade. His powerful vocal range combined with the emotional lyrical content of his songs has made him a favorite of fans, critics, and fellow artists alike. After starting his career opening shows for dozens of major stars, the baritone performer attracted the attention of Nashville music executives, and he soon landed a record deal. However, with all the changes in the music industry at the time, his album was shelved and never released. Just like the ‘Never Give Up’ mantra of his lyrics, Owens picked himself up and moved on, thanks to famed producer James Stroud (Tim McGraw, Aaron Lewis, Clint Black), country music legend Randy Travis, who co-executive produced his first album, Where I’m Comin’ From, and AmeriMonte Records. Never one to sit still for long, Shane Owens is currently impacting at radio with his latest single “You Go Good.” For more information, visit shaneowenscountrymusic.com.

Kenny Chesney Comes Home To Tennessee

When Kenny Chesney got on the highway “with a head full of dreams and a heart full of songs,” he was carrying the torch for every kid just like him. Singing about life in the flyover, capturing the small moments, the real thrills, the revelations, he forged a bond with his audience – ultimately named the No Shoes Nation – Chesney became the only country artist on Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years every year for the last thirteen.

Onstage at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium that love was more than apparent – with the audience singing extra choruses of “American Kids,” “Young” and “Anything But Mine.” With perfect weather, the audience helped lift Chesney to a new high in what has been a summer of pitch perfect shows; giving the audience back the innocence and beauty of a simpler world before touring stadiums became an impossible proposition.

Bringing out Old Dominion’s Matt Ramsey and Brad Tursi for “Save It For A Rainy Day,” it was a master class in maintaining one’s perspective on those days that try people’s reality. But the real emotional center came when Kelsea Ballerini, dressed in jeans, a red t-shirt and sparkle high tops, was introduced to sing their No. 1 hit “Half of My Hometown.”

Having grown up in the same part of Tennessee, Chesney told the audience, “I grew up in East Tennessee and she grew up in East Tennessee. We drove down some of the same roads together. We went to a lot of the same places to eat with our families. We listened to the same radio station, and listened to a lot of people tell us we couldn’t do certain things that have dreamed of all our life…”

For Ballerini, the Country Music Association Vocal Event and Video of the Year Award winner spoke to the realities one must transcend to get where she had dreamed of since she was a child. Though people don’t always understand or buy in, there is only love for where you come from. Partway through the second verse, she broke down sobbing – and as Chesney pulled her into a hug, the audience burst into applause.

Back on the road after three years unable to play stadiums, Chesney has found a new gear as an entertainer: bringing passion and recognition of how actual people live into a much more powerful truth. “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” “Don’t Happen Twice,” “Pirate Flag” and “Beer In Mexico” offered an exuberance that rippled through the audience during the two-plus hour set.

“Being here in Nashville where so many dreams came true, seeing Kelsea on the verge of making the same kind of mark, it made me realize how strong this connection is. It’s not just fun or hooks or guitar riffs, it’s one massive heart that we all share,” Chesney said after the show. “To have that is the greatest gift, greatest reason for doing this – and tonight really hit me in the soul.”

BILLY DEAN RETURNS WITH FIRST COUNTRY ALBUM IN A DECADE: THE REST OF IT’S MINE

Collection Includes Special Bonus Track: 30th Anniversary
Re-Recording of Smash Hit “Somewhere in My Broken Heart”
Nineties country hitmaker Billy Dean today announced his new first country album in a decade. On July 22, Dean, often referred to as “the James Taylor of country music,” will release The Rest of It’s Mine (BFD / Audium Nashville), a 10-track collection of songs that reflects a place very near and dear to his heart: his home state of Florida.
Born and raised in Quincy, Florida, the GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter returned to his panhandle roots in 2018, now residing with his wife Stephanie on the beaches of St. George Island. Dean says Florida is where he feels most alive.
“I was so touched and moved when Florida inducted me into its Artists Hall of Fame it made me terribly homesick,” explains Dean. “So I moved back to reconnect with my aging mother, my high school buddies and friends and family. That all inspired the tropical flavor of this album.”
Dean, an accomplished songsmith, co-wrote nine of the ten songs on the compilation. Co-writers include Brent Rader (who also produced the project), Tom WoodardMonty PowellDavid Duncan, as well as Dean’s personal friends and Florida natives Hugh and Cody Vanlandingham. He and veteran songwriter Paul Overstreet wrote the album’s title track and first single, “The Rest of It’s Mine.” Vocals from Overstreet are featured on the cut, along with an appearance in the official music video, premiering June 13 on CMT.com.
“I really wanted to connect with some of the greatest Hall of Fame songwriters in our business, to learn from them,” notes Dean. “I wanted to see what makes them tick and what made them Hall of Famers. Paul Overstreet was at the top of my list of guys that I knew but had never worked with.”
The album includes a special bonus track— a 30th anniversary re-recorded version of Dean’s smash hit, “Somewhere in My Broken Heart,” performed with a full symphony orchestra.
“‘Somewhere in My Broken Heart’ has been such a gift to me and my family and I credit Hall of Fame songwriter Richard Leigh for teaching me so much about writing on the day that we put words to this beautiful melody that he had written on the piano,” says Dean. “It’s a melody I always thought should be surrounded by a luscious orchestra. What better time to celebrate than the 30-year anniversary of it becoming the Academy of Country Music’s Song of the Year?”
When he’s not in Florida spending time with family, Dean continues to tour the country, performing his hit songs for fans coast-to-coast. This year, in addition to his solo dates, he’s teaming with fellow country vets Shenandoah and Wade Hayes on the Country Comeback Tour. For Dean’s full tour schedule, visit billydean.com.
The Rest of It’s Mine is available pre-order HERE. Download/stream the album’s first single and title track, “The Rest of It’s Mine,” HERE.
