Featuring Collaborations with Willie Nelson and Rhonda Vincent

Iconic vocalist Gene Watson ventures Outside the Box with new album set for release September 16. The project features Watson’s first-ever collaboration with country legend and fellow Texan, Willie Nelson on “Wonderful Future.” The album also features a duet with Grand Ole Opry peer Rhonda Vincent on “I’ve Got One of Those Too.” The album will be available for pre-order on August 16.

Outside the Box showcases Watson’s masterful vocals that have been his signature for more than six decades. The12-track collection fuses newly recorded songs from Watson as well as re-imagined hits across multiple genres, from Merle Haggard to Etta James. The album was produced by Dirk Johnson and executive produced by Watson.

“We titled the album before we ever recorded the first song,” shared Watson. “I just wanted to do something that was different, not only for me, but for the fans too. Of course it’s still pure country music but the very first song I recorded was one by Etta James that I’ve always thought was one of the greatest songs out there. I really searched for songs I know my fans will appreciate and from that came this album, “Outside the Box.”

Watson’s single “If It’s That Easy” was released to radio in 1962 via Sun Valley Records. Since then, he has charted 75 titles including 23 Top 10 hits, six No. 1 country singles and five No. 1 gospel records. The Texas native continues to perform to sold-out crowds, singing in the same key as he did more than five decades ago.

MULTI-PLATINUM superstar Brantley Gilbert and Opry member Carly Pearce will headline the special Grand Ole Prix show set for Sunday, Aug. 7, at the Nissan Stadium campus as part of the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix.

Fellow Big Machine Label Group artists Midland and Callista Clark will join Gilbert and Pearce during the special version of the esteemed show. Held outdoors in downtown Nashville as part of a second consecutive year merging racing and music, the live 90-minute show will begin at 5:45 p.m. CT on the ZYN Main Stage. The Grand Ole Prix follows the conclusion of the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix NTT INDYCAR SERIES race and culminates the Aug. 5-7 festivities in the heart of Music City.

Gilbert, who was previously named ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year (2012) and Top New Male Artist (2013), is a MULTI-PLATINUM-selling Georgia native with a grassroots following millions strong. Seven No. 1 hits punctuate his career: “Country Must be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” CMA Awards Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem,” “My Kinda Party,” RIAA 5X PLATINUM-certified “Bottoms Up,” “One Hell of an Amen” and the collaboration with Lindsay Ell, “What Happens In A Small Town,” plus his landmark record JUST AS I AM clinched the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album. New Track Featured on Somewhere Between The Secret And The Truth

 A renowned singer-songwriter in his own right, Wade Bowen teams up with the incomparable Vince Gill for his latest release, “A Guitar, A Singer and A Song,” available everywhere now. The release follows lead single “Everything Has Your Memory” as a further preview of the Waco, Texas native’s forthcoming album Somewhere Between The Secret And The Truth, scheduled for release on August 12 via Thirty Tigers and available for pre-order HERE.

Embracing the theme of every songwriter’s quest for an enduring legacy, Bowen notes that the closing verse sung by Gill offers the crux of the ballad’s concept; “The whole point of doing what we do is to not be forgotten, to try to leave a mark on the world with a guitar and with your songs and with your voice. We don’t think about it until we get a couple decades into our career: ‘Have I done enough that people will remember me?’”

Leroy Van Dyke – True Treasures album has been released by Country Rewind Records. Many people remember the Leroy Van Dyke Show and his role as a co-host on the Country Crossroads with legendary DJ Bill Mack for 10 years which aired on WBAP radio syndicated to 800 stations and is a part of radio history.  The exposure brought to his name via the radio and TV shows were instrumental Leroy becoming a household name. Leroy is literally a living piece of country music history and as we all know there are very few of his generation left.

The project was produced by Paul Martin with Executive Producers Rex Allen, Jr. and Thomas Gramuglia and recorded at Clubhouse Recording Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Additional electric and acoustic guitars, upright bass, keyboards, drums and background vocals were provided by Paul Martin who also served as Engineer and Remix Engineer. Mastering was done by Mick Conley.
