Amy Sheppard makes a triumphant return to the country music scene with her latest single, “Small Town Rumors,” available now across all streaming platforms here.
With a track record that includes global hits like “Geronimo” and a standout performance as Orca on The Masked Singer Australia, Amy Sheppard continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Now based in Nashville, Sheppard brings her signature blend of authenticity and resilience to her latest single, “Small Town Rumors.”
Drawing from personal experiences, Sheppard explains, “‘Small Town Rumors’ captures the relentless gossip swirling through tight-knit communities. With lyrics that confront the chatter head-on, the song celebrates resilience and individuality. The wildfire of rumors may burn, but this single defiantly declares, ‘All I’ve found is they can’t bring me down.’”
The fiery anthem was co-written by Amy, her brother George Sheppard, Lindsay Rimes, and Danielle Blakey and produced by Lindsay Rimes. It is Amy’s first single since her Music Row Top 40 smash hit “Overthinking, ” which debuted in late 2023.
“Small Town Rumors” marks Amy’s first number-one single on the Australian CountryTown Hot50 airplay chart. She has now achieved six Top 5 singles on the CountryTown Hot50 over the last year, including previous singles “Nothing But Wild”, “Blue Guitar”, “Couple Goals,” “Something Good’s Gonna Happen” with The Wolfe Brothers, “Overthinking”, and now “Small Town Rumors”.
Beyond her music, Sheppard remains a vocal advocate for body positivity, spearheading the ‘Kiss My Fat Ass’ campaign and appearing in the acclaimed documentary, Embrace Kids. Her influence extends beyond the stage as she candidly shares her journey of self-acceptance and empowerment on social media.
