MITCHELL FERGUSON SIGNALS NEW ERA WITH SINGLE “MY WHOLE WORLD”

Fast-rising artist Mitchell Ferguson is officially putting a stake in the ground with his brand-new single, “My Whole World,” dropping this Friday, August 21.

Serving as the lead single for his upcoming EP, Everyone Knew (slated for release on November 13), the track marks a pivotal artistic reset for Ferguson. It is his first official project since relocating to Music City earlier this year, capturing a musician stepping fully into his own sound.

Written entirely by Ferguson, “My Whole World” showcases his formidable multi-instrumental talents. He played every single note on the track—handling guitar, keys, bass, and banjo—and recorded the song in his own home studio. The result is what Ferguson dubs “Texas Pop”—a signature blend that anchors organic country roots with a sharp, radio-ready pop sensibility.

“Moving to Nashville lit a fire under me,” Ferguson shares. “Between my neighborhood, the writers I’m meeting, and being able to record in my own house playing every part myself, this song is the closest I’ve gotten to sounding exactly like me.”

The relocation and fresh music follow a wave of momentum and high-profile co-signs. During a feature on the Nashville episode of Druski’s Coulda Been Records, country superstar Luke Combs personally crashed the set to praise Ferguson’s viral 2025 hit, telling him, “‘Drink A Beer,’ I know it, we all know it. Nashville is better with you in it.”

Additionally, Matty Healy of indie-rock icons The 1975 publicly lauded Ferguson’s soulful rendition of “All I Need To Hear,” declaring the cover better than the original band’s own record.

“My Whole World” isn’t just a stand-alone moment; it serves as the opening chapter in an ambitious broader narrative. The upcoming Everyone Knew EP kicks off a conceptual three-EP arc that will build toward Ferguson’s highly anticipated debut full-length album, targeted for late 2027.
