JACKIE EVANCHO, BLAKE SHELTON, LUKE BRYAN, ALABAMA, TANYA TUCKER, AND OTHERS JOIN THE LATE DAN SEALS ON A FORTHCOMING ALBUM “DAN SEALS & FRIENDS: THE LAST DUET”

In a poignant blend of country-pop history and modern vocal mastery, The Dan Seals Estate and Melody Place Records have announced the release of a stunning new single, “Love Is The Answer.” Set to debut on February 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day, the track features the soulful, archival vocals of the late Dan Seals alongside platinum-selling sensation Jackie Evancho.
The single serves as a cornerstone for the upcoming tribute album, Dan Seals & Friends: The Last Duet, arriving August 28.
A Rock-Fused Anthem for Modern Times
Originally written by Todd Rundgren and made a Top 10 hit by England Dan & John Ford Coley in 1979, “Love Is The Answer” has been reimagined as a rock-fused anthem. The track carries a timely, hopeful message about the power of love to navigate through adversity.
Seals, a Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Famer, provides a grounded, nostalgic warmth that contrasts beautifully with Evancho’s world-renowned operatic range. Evancho, who rose to fame as the youngest solo artist to go platinum in North America, continues to break barriers. A “30 Under 30” Forbes honoree, she has previously shared stages with legends like Andrea Bocelli and Tony Bennett, and her inclusion here highlights the cross-generational appeal of Seals’ discography.
The Last Duet: An All-Star Tribute
The forthcoming album, The Last Duet, is a star-studded celebration of Seals’ enduring legacy. The project features a diverse “who’s who” of the music industry, ranging from country royalty to Broadway stars:
Country Icons: Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Alabama, and Tanya Tucker.
Vocal Powerhouses: Katharine McPhee, Marie Osmond, and Sara Evans.
Special Collaborations: A 50th-anniversary rendition of “I’d Really Love To See You Tonight” featuring John Ford Coley.
“If there’s a shortcut, I’d have found it / But there is no easy way around it… Love is the answer.”
