Heartland recently celebrated RIAA platinum, gold and streaming certifications for the group’s No. 1 hit “I Loved Her First” with a plaque presentation at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Tuscumbia, Ala. Released 18 years ago, “I Loved Her First” was just recently certified gold and platinum by the RIAA.
The plaques were presented to the longtime Alabama residents by Alabama Music Hall of Fame Museum Curator Victoria Mitchell. Heartland currently has an exhibit on display in the Alabama Music Hall of Fame.
The ACM and CMA nominated group recently made its return with core band members, Craig Anderson, Todd Anderson, Mike Myerson, and new lead vocalist Lance Horton. “No Tomorrow,” Heartland’s first single in over a decade, was released on Sept. 15 from Yellowhammer Music Group. Declaring “Heartland is back and better than ever,” People.com exclusively premiered the video, which has accumulated over one million views. Shot at Mars Music Hall at The Von Braun Center, the video was executive produced by Cole Johnstone and directed by Justin Mayotte.
Following the release of “No Tomorrow,” momentum continues for Heartland as the group was recently added to the lineup for Gulf Coast Jam Presented by Jim Beam in Panama City Beach, Fla. Heartland will perform on May 31, sharing the stage with artists including Jelly Roll, Russell Dickerson and Chase Matthew. Morgan Wallen, Cody Johnson and Parker McCollum are also confirmed headliners for the festival.
