The Tennessee Star premiered a first listen to the “fun, relatable” track, while American Songwriter premiered the lyric video for the song, which they praised as a “fun, bubbly vibe and lyrics that are almost Shane McAnally-esque.”

“I would come out of these relationships, and so would my friends, and we would look back a while later and think, ‘why did I even date this guy in the first place?’ I think everyone has an ex or someone in their life that in hindsight, seems like a huge mistake. And there are so many sad songs about being single, when in reality, more and more people are choosing to stay single for longer and longer every year. So, I wrote ‘X’s and Y’s’ because we’ve all been through it, and now all there’s left to do is laugh about it,” shared Bade.

An advocate for mental health, Bade released her debut single, “I’m Fine,” in 2019. The single reached radio play in over 50 countries and landed on key Spotify playlists such as New Music Nashville.

ABOUT JASMIN BADE
Dubbed as “one to watch” by the Nashville Songwriters Association International for her debut single “I’m Fine,” Jasmin Bade hit the ground running when she touched down in Nashville straight out of college. The Aussie native quickly paired up with Spencer Jordan (Maroon Five, Danny Phantom) to pen the song, which was produced by Steven Martinez (Pentatonix, Lionel Richie). Bade’s debut single reached radio play in over 50 countries and landed on key Spotify playlists such as New Music Nashville. Bade regularly works with hit writers like Phil Barton (Lee Brice, Woman Like You), Chad Carlson (Taylor Swift, Fearless) and Emily Kroll (Priscilla Block, Just About Over You). With vocals comparable to Miranda Lambert and Natalie Maines of The Chicks, Bade uses a combination of elements that pull from the classic country she listened to growing up as well as the pop hits heard on today’s charts. As a songwriter, Bade is skilled at getting to the root of the story, which brings authenticity to her lyrics. Her writing focuses on love, relationships with others, and relationships with ourselves; bringing the topic of mental health to light in her debut single, “I’m Fine.” Bade’s newest single, “X’s & Y’s,” is available everywhere now.

Veterans non-profit The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project (TCDJHP) has signed on to sponsor “The Charlie Daniels Podcast,” a new bi-weekly show dedicated to the life and career of the late Country Music Hall of Fame member. The program is hosted by Daniels’ son, Charlie Daniels, Jr.

“We are honored that TCDJHP has agreed to sponsor our podcast,” says Daniels, Jr. “We look forward to working together to bring more awareness to this worthwhile organization which dad was extremely passionate about.”

The sponsorship officially begins this FridaySept. 3 when TCDJHP co-founder David Corlew joins the show for a special in-depth interview about his nearly five decade role as Daniels’ manager. Corlew will also speak of Daniels’ dedicated mission to assist our nation’s military vets, many of who struggle mentally and physically upon returning home from the battlefield. Calling attention to veteran suicides, of which 22 occur each day, was one of Daniels’ most passionate pleas. His message continues today through the work of TCDJHP.

“We feel like this a unique way to share the mission of TCDJHP, which is to support the return, rehabilitation and reintegration of our veterans into society,” explains Corlew. “What better way to support Charlie’s continued legacy than through Charlie Jr.’s podcast?”

“The Charlie Daniels Podcast,” features previously recorded interviews with the senior Daniels, as well as special guests who knew the late Grand Ole Opry member best. Upcoming guests will include producers, band and road crew members, office staff, and of course, the artists who were influenced by his music.

Since debuting on Aug. 6, “The Charlie Daniels Podcast” has surpassed 2,000 downloads. The program is also sponsored by Charlie Daniels Market.

The show is available to download wherever podcasts are available. New episodes drop every other Friday at 8 a.m. / CT. For more information and links to the show, visit charliedaniels.com/podcast.

ASHLEY McBRYDE KICKS OFF FIRST-OF-THREE SOLD OUT HEADLINING SHOWS AT THE RYMAN AUDITORIUM

Surprise Guest Eric Church Joins McBryde on Stage for a
Special Rendition of Allman Brothers Band’s “Midnight Rider”

This Town Talks Tour Continues Through January 2022

Four-time GRAMMY nominee Ashley McBryde launched her sold out three-night headlining debut at the historic Ryman Auditorium Thursday, Aug. 26, opening a cappella with never-released-or-recorded rollicking hymnal “Ain’t Enough Water,” before her band Deadhorse kicked in for what followed: a full-throttle, fist-pumping hour-and-half set.

“It’s a beautiful night for country music,” McBryde said, beaming. “Here’s what you’re gonna experience: some country songs, some rock songs; some happy ones, maybe some sad ones; some slow ones, some fast ones and some half-ass ones,” the Arkansas-native noted after “El Dorado.” “Let’s get on with it!”

As the crowd rejoiced alongside her, she launched into “American Scandal” from her Warner Music Nashville debut album Girl Going Nowhere, and the at-capacity crowd was reminded why Billboard frequently uses the word “authentic” when describing the singer/songwriter and expert storyteller.

Only six songs in, she teed up her GRAMMY nominated “Girl Goin’ Nowhere,” forced to take a few steps back from her microphone throughout the performance to take in the crowd’s reaction to her line “I hear the crowd,” eventually composing herself before continuing.

The night’s opening act Lainey Wilson, an up-and-comer with Top 5 hit “Things A Man Oughta Know,” also returned to the stage joining McBryde on the Linda Ronstadt/The Everly Brothers’ “When Will I Be Loved.” McBryde sharing prior to their collaboration, “How about a nice round of applause for our sister, we’re so proud to have her!”

Occasionally pausing to survey and absorb the energy of the audience, McBryde shared, “Here’s one of my other favorite reasons to love country music, live music period. For as long as I stand here, as long as Lainey stands here, as long as you stand or sit here, nothing else gets to matter. For 90 minutes, I’ve got no problems. There’s nothing else in this world that can accomplish not giving a shit that doesn’t come in a bottle or a pill. Country music, it only elevates. So, if you had a great day today, we’re so happy you chose us to celebrate with, and if you had a shit day today, you leave the rest of that to us.”

And with the crowd celebrating McBryde in full control, she then surprised the audience with a special guest, simply introducing him saying: “Eric F*cking Church.”

The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year was met with thunderous applause before the pair closed out the set with a performance of the Allman Brothers Band’s classic, “Midnight Rider,” creating a full-circle moment from early in McBryde’s career when Church invited her onstage at a Chicago tour stop in 2017 to perform the emotive, fan-favorite “Bible and a .44” together.

As that song followed, Church watched on from side stage with pride.

McBryde ended night one at the Ryman with the bluesy Girl Going Nowhere closer, “Home Sweet Highway,” a fitting encore closer as McBryde and her band celebrate being back out on the road after being away from “home” for more than 15 months.

“And that’s the show,” McBryde, still beaming. “This is the perfect time to remind you: you didn’t show up to the Ryman Auditorium tonight because we were going to be here, we showed up tonight because you were going to be here.”

Catch McBryde at one of the 23 additional dates on her This Town Talks Tour, wrapping in early 2022.

About David Nail
Hailing from Kennett, Missouri, David Nail is well-respected up and down Music Row. The GRAMMY-nominated multi-platinum singer/songwriter’s early releases, I’m About To Come Alive, The Sound Of A Million Dreams, I’m A Fire and Fighter, ignited his reputation as an innovator and creative risk-taker yet left Nail feeling restless. Through dealing with his own journey of mental illness and the feeling of needing to “rebel against what people expect you to be,” Nail began making his most “organic” work to date, David Nail & The Well Ravens, with Jason Hall and Andrew Petroff. That project liberated Nail and propelled him into his next adventure. Writing solo for the next few months led to his debut solo independent EP Oh, Mother, a reflective piece of work. That release was followed by Bootheel 2020, a project dedicated to the singer/songwriter’s hometown in the “bootheel” of Missouri. Nail plans on releasing more music throughout 2021, leaving behind any self-imposed restrictions. In Nail’s own words, “My philosophy has always been, I just hope to have a good enough year that I can have a next year while staying as true to myself as I possibly can.” Find more at www.davidnail.com.

About Chase Rice
With more than 2 million albums sold and nearly 2 billion total streams, plus a legion of passionate fans at his high-energy concerts across the globe, Chase Rice has established himself as a powerful force in Nashville and beyond – yet he genuinely sees The Album as the launching pad for music that says what he wants to say, how he wants to say it. With songs such as his Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “Lonely If You Are” and his latest two-week No. 1 single, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen. (feat. Florida Georgia Line),” this is the same gravelly-voiced Chase Rice fans first fell in love with years ago – but better. Freer. Unbeholden and uninhibited, somehow capable of evoking Chris LeDoux and The Chronic, campfire singalongs and stadium anthems, all at once. The project builds upon the success of his sophomore album, Lambs & Lions, which featured the Double-Platinum, two-week chart topper “Eyes On You” – Rice’s first No. 1 as an artist and the most-streamed song of his career (nearly 550M streams to date). His inaugural album, Ignite the Night, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre chart, producing a pair of Top 5 hits; “Ready Set Roll” and “Gonna Wanna Tonight.” In addition to supporting Kenny Chesney’s The Big Revival stadium tour, Rice has consistently sold out 2,500-3,000 seat venues on his own headlining tours and is set to join Kane Brown’s Blessed & Free Tour in early 2022.

JASMIN BADE DELIVERS A REFRESHING, WHIMSICAL SPIN WITH “X’S & Y’S” AVAILABLE NOW

Australian singer/songwriter Jasmin Bade releases her playful new single “X’s & Y’s” and lyric video, which premiered on American Songwriter, today. “X’s & Y’s” provides a positive outlook on embracing the single life. Bade co-wrote the song with Emily Kroll who penned the No. 1 hit “Just About Over You” by Priscilla Block and had the track produced by Steven Martinez (Pentatonix, Lionel Richie).

COUNTRY SINGER JENNY TOLMAN TO APPEAR ON TLC’S “SAY YES TO THE DRESS”

SATURDAY, AUGUST 28 AT 7 P.M. CST

Lauded by the Tennessean as an ‘Artist to Watch’ and included in MusicRow Magazine’s ‘Next Big Thing’ class of 2020, Jenny Tolman steps into a new kind of spotlight as she appears on TLC‘s “Say Yes to the Dress” Saturday, August 28 at 7 p.m. CST.

In the episode, the singer-songwriter who is known for her glamorous, rhinestone-embellished stage outfits, shops for her wedding dress with famed Kleinfeld Bridal consultants in their Manhattan store. Tolman is flanked by her mother and sister, who offer support and advice as she tries on dresses for her upcoming nuptials to GRAMMY-nominated producer Dave Brainard. As featured on People.com, the pair got engaged in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in October of 2020 after four years of dating.

Now in season 19, TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress” goes inside Kleinfeld Bridal, the Manhattan-based bridal salon that is arguably the world’s finest. With more than 250 professionals, most of them veterans from the shop’s early days in Brooklyn, bend over backward to make each bride’s experience unforgettable. Part bridal story, part fashion makeover and part family therapy session, each “Say Yes to the Dress” episode looks at the personalities and craftsmanship that come into play as the Kleinfeld staff goes to sometimes extreme lengths to realize each bride’s dreams.
ABOUT JENNY TOLMAN:
With a razor-sharp wit and throwback sound, Jenny Tolman is on deck to become her generation’s Roger Miller—a comedic troubadour with a decidedly feminine perspective, offering savvy wordplay and wisdom far beyond her years. With titles like “High Class White Trash,” her debut album There Goes the Neighborhood lit up Nashville in 2020 by delivering engaging snapshots of small-town life in the fictional Jennyville. Not many new artists would step into the spotlight quite so brazenly but doing so has been worth the gamble thus far for Tolman, with the Nashville Scene singling out There Goes the Neighborhood as “Best Country Debut Album,” while The Tennessean named her an “Artist to Watch” and MusicRow Magazine included her in its “Next Big Thing” Class of 2020. Pretty heady stuff for a 25-year-old whom veteran Music Row writer Robert K. Oermann says is “practically single-handedly bringing humor back into country music.”

CHRIS JANSON SHARES TESTAMENT TO UNCONDITIONAL LOVE IN NEW SINGLE “BYE MOM”

Electrifying entertainer Chris Janson is perhaps best known for his collection of party-starting No. 1 hits and famed high-octane performances that have inspired superstar Garth Brooks to declare, “This guy has ‘it’ and he knows what to do with it” – but when he has something on his heart, he opts for a different approach. Janson first shared the more introspective side of his acclaimed songwriting with the ACM award-winning, Gold-certified “Drunk Girl” in late 2017. For his newest single “Bye Mom” – available now (listen HERE) – he once again turns inward, this time to share a triumphant ode to unconditional love.
The single is derived from the real-life story of co-writer Brandon Kinney, who lost his mother earlier this year. He, alongside longtime friend Janson, put the experience into lyrics as a tribute to his mom; together they turned the song into a message not just about loss, but also about loving someone more than yourself. Whether from a mother, father, brother, sister, friend or lover, “Bye Mom” gently opines that everyone deserves to feel that kind of immeasurable love.
“My co-writer Brandon and I wrote ‘Bye Mom’ this year after he lost his mother,” Janson shared. “Even though it was written as a tribute to one special person, I think this song is universal. At its core, ‘Bye Mom’ is about unconditional love – ‘you don’t realize you’re somebody that somebody loves more than themselves.’ Whether it’s from a mom or someone else, everyone deserves to experience that kind of love.”
“Bye Mom” is the first single from Janson’s upcoming fourth studio album and is due at radio next month. The celebrated recording artist joined Warner Music Nashville in 2015 as his now 3x Platinum, chart-topping smash “Buy Me A Boat” became a viral and now perennial sensation. Over the past six years he has earned three additional No. 1 hits, been invited to become a member of the esteemed Grand Ole Opry and more. He has garnered upwards of seven billion airplay impressions and over 1 billion on-demand career streams to date.
A visible ambassador for and champion of the country music community, Janson will take the historic stage at the Ryman Auditorium on August 25 for the14th Annual Academy of Country Music Honors as both performer and presenter. He will help commemorate the incredible behind-the-scenes talent of country music via the ACM Industry and Studio Recording Awards. The event, which will air as a television special later this year, will be livestreamed on Circle Network’s social channels – Circle All Access Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
The following week, the larger-than-life stage-shaker will make his Bonnaroo debut. He will cap the Grand Ole Opry at Bonnaroo 2021 event on Thursday, Sept. 2 with a finale performance. Meanwhile, Janson is on the road for his Back At It tour dates. The run spans nearly every single weekend from now through October and features headlining performances, festivals, fairs and special events.
