Pillbox Patti is the evolution of celebrated Nashville songwriter Nicolette Hayford. She has penned hits like “One Night Standards” and “Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega” for Ashely McBryde as well as songs for Lainey Wilson, William Michael Morgan and Chrissy Metz. In 2021 she was named MusicRow’s Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year and nominated for ACM and CMA Song Of The Year Awards.

After years of writing for other artists, Hayford is finally stepping into the spotlight as an artist. The ten-year town put her into a box, so she ventured off with her tribe of writers and what has emerged is Pillbox Patti, allowing Hayford to say anything and everything she wants.  Karen Waldrup is back with new music with a heavy hitter songwriter and Grammy-award winning producer in tow. “Just Ain’t Love,” the catchy upbeat tune with distinguishing saxophone tones, written by Waldrup and Marcus Hummon, is slated for released on August 12. The story song, co-produced by Grammy-award winning Paul Worley and Biff Watson, is sure to attract fans with its sticky ear worm melody and cowbell and it’s lyrics poking fun at improbable love.

“I couldn’t be more excited about releasing this single,” says Waldrup. “This is the album I’ve always dreamed of making and this song is such a great introduction to the rest of the album. I wrote it and it depicts what folks should expect on the rest of the album.”

“Damn Strait” Tops Billboard’s Country Chart for Third Straight Week

Opry to Celebrate Seely’s 55th Anniversary Saturday, September 17 

 As a trailblazing GRAMMY® award-winner, Grand Ole Opry member Jeannie Seely makes history again as the artist with the most appearances on the show that made country music famous. Thanks to technology and the dedication of independent Opry historian Byron Fay, research shows Seely has made more performances on the Grand Ole Opry than any other performer in the 97 year history of the Opry. Seely will celebrate this historic achievement during her 55th Opry anniversary on Saturday, September 17.

“Jeannie Seely’s commitment to the Grand Ole Opry is truly remarkable,” said Opry Executive Producer Dan Rogers. “I’ve been affiliated with the Opry less than half of her time as an official member, and even in those two decades I’ve witnessed so many examples of her dedication to this show we love: performing in borrowed clothes on the first Opry show after the 2010 flood inundated both the Opry House and her own home, making her way to the show in staff members’ vehicles after a major snowstorm, and simply being here night after night to lend her voice to this one-of-a-kind show. Reba has announced a fall arena tour REBA: LIVE IN CONCERT, set to kick off October 13 in Lafayette, LA.
