BMI’S ZACH TOP HOSTS FIRST-EVER NO. ONE PARTY FOR “I NEVER LIE”

BMI celebrated six-time CMA-nominee Zach Top and his co-writers Carson Chamberlain (BMI/Producer) and Tim Nichols (BMI) for their double PLATNIUM-certified No. One hit “I Never Lie” at its Nashville office on Wednesday (9/24). The song is currently nominated for “Single of the Year” and “Song of the Year” at the 2025 CMA Music Awards and stems from the Leo33 artists’ debut album Cold Beer & Country Music.
Hosted by BMI’s Mitch Ballard, Top thanked industry guests for championing the song’s traditional storytelling and his co-writers for each of their support early on in his career. To celebrate the chart-topper, the songwriters were each gifted with a custom BMI Taylor 210e DLX guitar. BMI concluded the evening by surprising Top with an early birthday cake. The first-time hitmaker hits the road tomorrow (9/26) to begin his Cold Beer & Country Music fall tour.
