Allie shared, “It is always scary and exciting putting a new song out and taking on a story that feels so personal to represent. I wrote this one by myself one night in the thick of it, and it is very, very scary for me to allow anyone into this world. I am still very much healing from this heartbreak, and it’s always hard to give voice to something so raw while you’re still in the process of mending. That is and will always be one of the greatest aspects of the songwriter—when we find the courage to set our conflicts free into the world, we are letting go of control and hoping (praying) that it reaches someone who needs it, someone who’s searching for their own words to begin healing. That is what I hope this song does: I hope it finds humans trying their best to heal.”
