ERIN KIRBY RELEASES DEFIANT ANTHEM OF HOPE AND RESILIENCE WITH “DARKNESS WIN” – AVAILABLE NOW

Rising singer-songwriter Erin Kirby has released her powerful new single, “Darkness Win,” available now on all streaming platforms. Written alongside Aaron Eshuis and Brinley Addington and produced by Eshuis, the song is a raw yet hopeful declaration of perseverance in the face of fear, doubt, and life’s hardest seasons.
“‘Darkness Win’ is one of my most honest songs to-date,” said Kirby of the track. “The lyrics of this song speak to my battle with the little voice in my head. No matter what it says or how much it tries to tear me down… I will never let the darkness win. I believe I have a gift and a light to shine in the dark places, and I’m doing just that with this song. It’s vulnerable but uplifting and I cannot wait for the world to hear it!”
Anchored by vivid storytelling and an unwavering message, “Darkness Win” traces the journey from despair to determination. Kirby reflects on loneliness, loss, and spiritual wrestling – “the valley below,” “the monsters that come out to play every night” – while standing firm in the resolve that even in the darkest moments, the light still holds.
At its core, the song is about survival with faith intact. “Darkness Win” doesn’t deny the struggle; it names it, faces it, and ultimately refuses to surrender to it. With its stirring chorus and hauntingly honest verses, the track resonates with anyone who’s ever walked through uncertainty and come out the other side still standing.
Kirby closed out 2025 with the release of her debut, sonically stripped EP, In and Out of Love (November 7). Featuring five tracks, including project stand-outs like the title track and gut punch of heartbreak and empowerment “Make A Move,” the collection captures the full arc of a relationship – from its first spark to the aftermath of the final goodbye – told through Kirby’s soaring vocals, honest storytelling and genre-blending sound that’s earned her comparisons to artists like Adele and Kelsea Ballerini.
