PARMALEE BLAZES A TRAIL TO THEIR LONGEST RUNNING NUMBER ONE AT COUNTRY RADO WITH “COWGIRL”

Parmalee hits a new stride with its sixth number one at country radio “Cowgirl,” scoring its longest running number one on Stoney Creek Records at both the Billboard and Mediabase charts. This lead single from their BBR Music Music Group/BMG Nashville album Fell In Love With A Cowgirl earned four weeks at the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart (the longest-leading hit by a group of three or more members in nearly 14 years) and two weeks on the Mediabase chart. With this milestone, Parmalee became the only band within the last year to score multiple weeks at number one on the Country Airplay charts. This marks the fifth consecutive number one (six total) for the band who capped off 2025 by teasing new music for their fans with the release of their latest “How Do I Let You Go.”

“Bringing in the new year with the number one song in the country is crazy,” says Matt Thomas of Parmalee. “It’s great to see the song connect with so many people and continue to grow. I feel like it’s just getting started. Cheers to 2026 yall!”

Comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas (lead vocals/guitar and drums, respectively), cousin Barry Knox (bass), and lifelong friend Josh McSwain, Parmalee has been a household name with headliner status for years. With five back-to-back #1s at country radio, Parmalee was recognized as the most played country act by Billboard in 2022 for their iconic love song “Take My Name.”

Having just wrapped their “Feels Like Home” Tour, Parmalee, with over 1.6 billion on-demand streams and a growing list of platinum singles, has cemented their place as a hit-making powerhouse and live-concert favorite.

About Parmalee:

With over 1.6 billion streams, six number one country hits, and a growing list of platinum singles, Parmalee has cemented their place as a hit-making powerhouse. Known for their hook-heavy sound that doesn’t just dominate the genre – it crushes charts, radio, and playlists, solidifying their legacy as a staple in today’s country music. Comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas (lead vocals/guitar and drums, respectively), cousin Barry Knox (bass), and lifelong friend Josh McSwain, the North Carolina-bred band most recently topped the charts with their latest single, “Cowgirl,” the lead release from the album, Fell In Love With A Cowgirl. This milestone marks Parmalee’s fifth consecutive number one following the massive success of number one fan favorites “Take My Name” (Billboard’s most-played country song of 2022), “Girl In Mine” (Billboard’s 8th most-played country song of 2023), “Just the Way” with Blanco Brown, and the emotional ballad “Gonna Love You” that revisited the near-death experience the band endured earlier in their career. Known for their explosive live shows, the band just wrapped their 2025 “Feels Like Home” Tour and released the deeply personal track “How Do I Let You Go.” With acclaimed nods from the ACMs, iHeartRadio, and AMAs, Parmalee is more than a chart force—they’re a live-show experience built to last.
