DOLLY PARTON POSTPONES CAESARS RESIDENCY TO PRIORITIZE HEALTH; RETURN SET FOR SEPTEMBER 2026

Country music legend Dolly Parton has announced the postponement of her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency, “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas,” originally scheduled for December 2025. The six-show engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has been officially moved to September 2026, as the 79-year-old star prepares to undergo undisclosed medical procedures.
In a heartfelt statement shared with fans, Parton confirmed she is dealing with “health challenges” and following doctor’s orders to take time for recovery. Parton was clear that the decision was made out of commitment to her audience. “You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” she explained, emphasizing her need for adequate time to rehearse and deliver the world-class show her fans deserve. She lightened the serious news with her signature humor, joking that it must be time for her “100,000-mile check-up.”
The postponement follows a recent health issue in early September, where the icon was forced to cancel an appearance at Dollywood due to an infection caused by a kidney stone. While the specific nature of the upcoming procedures remains private, her team confirmed that they are necessary to ensure a full and robust return to the stage.
Parton was quick to quash any speculation about retirement. “God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet,” she reassured fans, adding that she believes He is telling her to “slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”
The rescheduled dates for “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas” at Caesars Palace are now set for September 2026. Fans who purchased tickets for the original December run will have their passes automatically honored for the corresponding new shows, with refunds available through official ticket outlets for those unable to attend the later dates. Parton will continue working on other projects from her home base in Nashville as she prepares for her triumphant return to the Strip next fall.
