BO STALOCH SHARES NEW SINGLE, “GIVE IT A BREAK”

Bo Staloch released “Give It A Break,” his first single of 2025, via Capitol Records. Fueled by heartbreak and hope, he packs extended notes with raw, earnest emotion as he finds clarity on a past relationship. Staloch wrote the track and Andrew Wells (X Ambassadors, Bebe Rexha), who also helmed “Wait It Out,” produced.
Touring for his first time ever in 2024 was a rich experience that has influenced the young artist’s songwriting process. “I came up with the riff for ‘Give It A Break’ during sound check, and I really loved it,” says Bo Staloch, who has supported the likes of Wyatt Flores, Richy Mitch & TCM, John Vincent III and Hans Williams and headlined his own shows in London and Dublin.
“My brain was thinking about the end of a relationship, and I felt inspired by the live music and the band being behind me,” he adds. “I don’t think I would ever have thought of making a song like this a year ago, but it just felt so right. I really needed to get that type of sad and heavy energy out of my system, whether that’s because I was holding some energy back in me from this relationship, or I was just super inspired by the live music of our tour. Honestly, I think it was a bit of both.”
Staloch will return to the road this year, supporting John Vincent III at a pair of Texas shows in February, Houndmouth in March and Ashe in May and June.
In this recent Q&A, The Luna Collective observed, “2025 is looking to be the year of Bo Staloch…Full of powerful acoustic guitar and heartfelt lyricism, Bo Staloch’s music feels like it deserves to be listened to while sun-kissed and driving amongst the most cinematic of scenery…a special sonic blend of country, folk, and americana.” CLASH noted, “‘Wait It Out’ comes from the heart, a dose of pop autobiography with a wicked chorus.” Ones To Watch included “Wait It Out” in their #NOWWATCHING playlist. View his recent live video for “Wait It Out” here, which he shot with his band at a cabin in Laurel Canyon, where so many of Staloch’s musical forebears laid down roots in the 1970s.
Born and raised in the heart of Austin, Texas, Staloch has emerged as a luminous singer-songwriter, now calling the city of Nashville his adopted home. With the release of his enchanting debut single, “Springtime Red Tulips,” he captivated the hearts of many, drawing the admiration of some of his most cherished idols and inspirations. He made his Capitol Records debut in 2024 with “Santa Fe,” which earned him his first spin on BBC Radio 1 and praise from Atwood Magazine, which said, “Bo Staloch basks in stomp-and-holler bliss on…’Santa Fe,’ an aching, impassioned folk rock song yearning for emotional (and existential) release.”
