“When It Rains It Pours” & “Hurricane” Become the 10^th & 11^th Country Singles To Be Certified Diamond

Sony Music Nashville surprised 2X CMA Entertainer of the Year Luke Combs with five new plaques commemorating historic new certifications at Combs’ 5-year anniversary appearance at the Grand Ole Opry last night.

The plaques included two diamond certifications for “When It Rains It Pours” & “Hurricane” which marks Combs’ as the first artist to have three Diamond country singles certified by the RIAA (joining “Beautiful Crazy” which was Diamond certified last year).

Additionally, Combs’ 2022 album Gettin’ Old is certified Platinum while 2019 What You See Is What You Get is certified 5X Platinum.  To cap off the night, Combs’s Grammy nominated version of the Tracy Chapman hit “Fast Car” was also certified 5X platinum.
