Celebrated singer / songwriter, instrumentalist and recording artist Charlie Worsham is sharing his 10-year story in just five tracks. Helping him on the journey are his Compadres, a few of Worsham’s most decorated collaborators and fiercest champions: Dierks Bentley, Luke Combs, Elle King, Kip Moore and Lainey Wilson. The Tennessean’s Marcus Dowling has declared that “moreso than any release in the past half-decade, [Compadres] may best encapsulate how modern iterations of the genre’s storied traditions articulate themselves in country’s broad landscape.”

“Compadres day is finally here! I hope people love these songs like I do,” Worsham said. “I’ve never had more fun making a record in my life, and I can’t think of a better way to thank my longtime fans for sticking with me or a better way to introduce new fans to who I am. I’m proud of each and every song and compadre in this collection, and I’m excited knowing that today is just the beginning.”

Compadres, produced by The Cadillac Three frontman Jaren Johnston, has earned early recognition for its tracks “How I Learned To Pray” feat. Luke Combs and “Kiss Like You Dance” feat. Kip Moore (listen HERE). The former landed on Spotify’s Viral 50 – USA chart and has inspired more than 30,000 user-generated videos on TikTok, with Holler describing it as a “beautifully sparse, drawn-in ode.” On the other end of the spectrum, MusicRow praised the party-starting “Kiss Like You Dance” as a “joyous, flirtatious bopper [that] rumbles with an outlaw beat, and both men sound like they are having big, big fun. Turn it up and stomp along.”

Worsham, who is known both as a solo entertainer and as an acclaimed member of Dierks Bentley’s touring band, has also earned recent praise for his live performances. Billboard called him “a stellar artist with own perspective,” applauding the “laid-back charisma and top-shelf musical chops” on display at last month’s Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival. On Compadres track “Things I Can’t Control” feat. Dierks Bentley, he and Bentley channel the energy of their stage show.

From his debut album Rubberband to his 2021 EP Sugarcane, Worsham’s discography has earned unflagging praise from critical outlets including NPR, The Wall Street Journal, The Tennessean, Billboard and Rolling Stone. In addition to creating his own music, the proud Mississippi native has contributed his talents as a vocalist and instrumentalist to projects from Eric Church, Brandy Clark, Vince Gill, Hailey Whitters, Corey Kent, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, among others. He was honored with the 2022 ACM Award for Acoustic Guitar Player of the Year, and he is currently nominated for Musician of the Year at the 57th CMA Awards.
